Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how the AzoraOne developer portal uses cookies and similar browser storage — what each item is for, who provides it, and how long it lasts — and how you can control non-essential cookies through our consent banner and cookie settings.

Overview
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. We also use a small number of similar browser‑storage technologies (such as localStorage and sessionStorage) for the same kinds of purposes. This Cookie Policy explains every cookie and storage item the AzoraOne developer portal (developer.azora.one) sets, who sets it, why, and how long it lasts.
We only use two categories: cookies that are strictly necessary to run the portal and keep you signed in, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the portal is used. Analytics cookies only load after you actively consent to them. We also use a third‑party anti‑spam check that, unlike most anti‑spam tools, sets no cookies at all — see below.
1. What cookies are, and how we categorise them
Under the GDPR and the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (which implements the EU ePrivacy Directive), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you've asked for can be set without consent. Every other cookie — including analytics — requires your prior, informed consent. When you first visit the portal, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non‑essential cookies; your choice is remembered and can be changed at any time.
2. Cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies and storage items are required for the portal to function — signing in, staying signed in, remembering your preferences, and remembering your cookie choice. They are all first‑party (set by developer.azora.one itself) and are never used for advertising or cross‑site tracking. Because they're strictly necessary, they don't require consent.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
azora-consent | Cookie & local storage | Remembers your cookie‑consent choices so we don't ask again on every visit. | 1 year |
azora.sid | Cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeps you signed in. Holds only a session identifier — your sign‑in tokens are kept securely on our server, never in your browser. | 8 hours, or until you sign out |
azora.post_logout | Cookie (HttpOnly) | Set briefly during sign‑out to make sure a repeated sign‑out attempt always returns you to a clean sign‑in screen. | 5 minutes |
azora-theme | Cookie & local storage | Remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode, so the correct theme renders immediately on your next visit. | 1 year |
azora-post-logout-return | Session storage | Remembers which page to return you to after you sign in or out. | Until the browser tab is closed |
pendingOpenTryPanel / pendingOpenDemoApp | Session storage | Resumes the "Try it" API panel or a demo‑app link you were using before being asked to sign in. | Until the browser tab is closed |
azoraone_demoAppReturn | Local storage | Returns you to a partner demo application after you sign in via the portal. | Until cleared by the browser or you |
devportal_content_version and a local documentation cache | Local storage & IndexedDB | Caches documentation pages on your device so they load faster, and is automatically refreshed whenever we publish new content. | Until we publish an update, or you clear your browser storage |
When you sign in, you're briefly redirected to Microsoft's Entra External ID sign‑in page. Microsoft may set its own cookies on its domain to run that sign‑in page — we don't control these and they're never set on developer.azora.one. They're governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
2.2 Analytics (only with your consent)
We use analytics to understand how the portal is used — which pages are visited, how long pages take to load, and where errors occur — so we can improve it. These cookies are third‑party, are only ever set after you actively consent via the cookie banner, and are never loaded before you do. You can withdraw consent at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer, which removes these cookies going forward.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ai_user | Microsoft Application Insights | Recognises you as a returning visitor so we can measure usage trends and diagnose errors and performance issues. | 1 year |
ai_session | Microsoft Application Insights | Groups your page views together into a single visit ("session") for the same purpose. | 30 minutes of inactivity |
Google Tag Manager, and any analytics tag it loads (e.g. _ga, _gid) | Google Tag Manager is a container script that lets us manage which analytics tags run. It sets no cookies itself, but the tags it's configured with may set standard Google Analytics cookies to measure how visitors use the portal. | Up to 2 years, depending on the tag |
2.3 Anti-spam (Cloudflare Turnstile)
Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a form is being submitted by a person rather than a bot. Unlike traditional CAPTCHA tools, Turnstile sets no cookies and performs no cross‑site tracking. Because it sets no cookies and no personal profile is built from it, it runs on a legitimate‑interest basis to keep the portal free of spam, and isn't part of the consent banner.
3. Managing your choices
You can accept or decline analytics cookies the first time you visit the portal, and change your mind at any time using "Cookie settings" in the site footer. Declining or withdrawing consent removes analytics cookies and stops any further analytics data collection; strictly necessary cookies will continue to be set, as they're required to keep the portal working.
You can also control or delete cookies directly through your browser settings, and clear local/session storage through your browser's site‑data settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using parts of the portal. For more on how we handle your personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
4. Contact
